Global Islamic Finance is Media Partner for Shared Ownership Fractional Summit Middle East

Leading luxury fractional ownership brand, conference and exhibition organiser, Fractional Life, is delighted to confirm Global Islamic Finance magazine (GIF) as a Media Partner for the inaugural Shared Ownership Fractional Summit Middle East Conference.
The magazine's editor-in-chief Dr Farhad Reyazat will speak at the event, which takes place at the spectacular new YAS Hotel in Abu Dhabi on 23 and 24 November 2010. He will address delegates on the subject of Islamic instruments for financing leisure real estate (Istisna Sukuk).
As well as being editor-in-chief of GIF, Dr Reyazat is also a founding director of the Global Risk Management Group (GRMG). He has published numerous articles on risk management and Islamic finance, and has supervised research theses on capital markets, Islamic finance and Islamic banking. He is the current Dean of the Department of Finance at Imam Sadigh University in Iran where he teaches banking and risk management courses and acts as the director of the PhD programme in finance.
Fractional Life founder Piers Brown said: “We are delighted to welcome GIF as a Media Partner at our Abu Dhabi event, and look forward to benefitting from Dr Reyazat's expert understanding of Islamic finance. We are excited about the potential for growing the fractional market in the Middle East and North Africa, but it is vital that the appropriate financial structures are in place and understood by entrants to the market.”
Dr Reyazat said: “Fractional ownership is an interesting approach to buying property, and could have huge potential in the Middle East if those who are selling it understand and introduce financial products which are suitable for a Muslim society.”
The B2B Shared Ownership Fractional Summit conference has been devised to attract the brightest and most dynamic minds in the shared and fractional ownership industry to help define the ‘new rules’ and future opportunities within an ever changing market landscape.
Shared Ownership and Fractionals encompass:
• fractional real estate
• co-owned assets such as fractional jets, cars and yachts
• co-ownership of hotel rooms
• timeshare/vacation ownership
• religious timeshare
• private residence clubs
The conference will provide a cutting edge insight into the practical application and development of these exciting concepts into the Middle Eastern context. The conference will focus on all aspects of, and best practice in, shared ownership, including timeshare, fractional ownership, destination and private residence clubs, together with other emerging fractional ownership sectors such as fractional yachts, aviation and supercars.
There will also be a spotlight on Shariah compliant structures.
Expert presentations and panel sessions will highlight executable solutions that fully utilise current market conditions including resort financing, development, branding, marketing, selling and management of vacation ownership properties. Delegates will also benefit from exceptional networking opportunities and ‘meet the expert’ sessions.
“There has never been a more appropriate time to look at, assess and react to the shared and fractional ownership challenges the ‘new global economy’ presents. Our conference promises to highlight the undoubted opportunities the Middle Eastern and North African market will present over the next few years,” said Piers Brown.
